Despite the rain and nasty weather beating down on Southern California, fans came out in droves on February 7 to the Observatory OC to see Lukas Graham start off his 2024 North American West Coast tour. Rozzi, an American soul singer, opened up for Lukas Graham.
Opening up the show was Rozzi, an American soul singer that has recently joined the record label BMG, and released her last album Berry (Deluxe) in November 2022. Most known for hits like Who Do You Love, Joshua Tree, and Best Friend song, she delighted the crowd by playing some of those hits during her set.
The main attraction for the night was Lukas Graham, and the packed auditorium of the Observatory OC included fans of all ages, including an 8 year old who has been a Lukas Graham fan "for years now" and was attending the concert with his mom who had bought the tickets as a Christmas gift.
Another fan we spoke with came with her husband and their two teenage boys who she was "teaching concert etiquette" to. Reminding him while we spoke that he couldn't leave his prime front row spot or else he would lose it, a common concern at General Admission events.
Lukas Graham started off the show with classic songs from his 2016 eponymous album, such as Happy Home, and Take the World By Storm, getting the crowd going with familiar favorites.
Throughout the performance the crowd sang along, and danced, and he, as is typical for his show, ended up shirtless by the end and looking like he was having the time of his life.
The Observatory OC is a concert venue in the heart of Santa Ana, Ca featuring a capacity of 1200 for General Admission and VIP seated concert viewing. The VIP area is a balcony bar that has booth and tables near the edge for prime comfortable views of your favorite show. Find upcoming events on their website.
