On May 30th, Beach Bunny played to a packed, sold-out crowd at the Wiltern in Los Angeles during the North American leg of their Tunnel Vision Tour. The tour celebrated the release of their newest album “Tunnel Vision,” which was released back in April, and the set was filled with a perfect mix of fresh tracks and fan-favorite hits.

Scarlet Demore opened up the night with a kick of punk energy, catching everybody off guard in the best way possible. They kicked off with a burst of energy from the moment they stepped on stage, they came out swinging. Lead singer Cat Ayala took control of the crowd, getting them to open up a pit and start moshing which was something vastly different from what you would expect from a Beach Bunny making the introduction to the night even better.

As Beach Bunny took the stage, chants and cheers filled the entire room. Starting off years ago in Chicago, the band has come a long way since their early days of bedroom pop and viral internet hits. Now they are selling out headline shows at the Wiltern and even hosting their own festival, Pool Party, in Chicago every year. Lili Trifilio led the night with her vocals and guitar, backed by Jon Alvarado on drums, Anthony Vaccaro on bass, Claire Zhang on guitar, and Tay Norwood on bass as well.

They started off with a bang, playing “Cloud 9,” one of their most beloved songs. From there on out, the energy never dipped. New songs such as “Mr. Predictable” and “Pixie Cut” got as much love as long-time fan favorites that were played throughout the rest of the set.

Crowd interaction was a huge part of the night's energy. Lili invited a fan to sing the intro of “Good Girls” with her, creating a standout moment that had the entire room cheering. During “Vertigo,” she asked the entire audience to freeze during the song’s iconic pause, and the crowd pulled it off perfectly. Later, she challenged the crowd to hold out the final note of “Just Around the Corner” for as long as they could. These little moments added a personal touch and made the show feel that much more special.

As the set wrapped up, the band said their thank-yous and goodbyes, walking off the stage, leaving the crowd chanting “Encore!” and “One more song!” Of course, they returned to the stage to finish off the night. Lili brought out special guest Robin Schorr of Blond In Car for an acoustic performance of “6 Weeks” featuring Robin on keyboard. The full band returned to the stage and they then launched into two of their biggest hits “Prom Queen” and “Painkiller” end off the night with a high note.
