Dance Gavin Dance Brings Riffs and Robots to the Riverside Municiple Auditorium

On June 28th, the Riverside Municipal Auditorium was packed with fans ready for a night of rock with Dance Gavin Dance on their Return of the Robot Tour. The energy in the room was strong from the start, and everyone was excited for what the night had in store.

The show opened with Dwellings, who kicked things off with a fast and loud set. They got the crowd moving early and ended their time on stage with a fan favorite, “Devices,” which had people cheering and singing along.

Next up was Belmont, who kept the momentum going. Lead singer Taz Johnson gave it his all, and the rest of the band matched his energy. They made sure the crowd stayed loud and excited through every song.

The Home Team came on next and took the vibe even higher. They opened their set with “Slow Bloom,” which had the whole venue bouncing. They interacted with the crowd, had great stage presence, and got everyone hyped for the main event.

When it was time for Dance Gavin Dance, the lights went dark and huge inflatable robots rose up behind the stage. The crowd went wild as the band members came out one by one and opened their set with “Speed Demon.” From that moment on, they didn’t slow down.

They played a mix of older songs and brand-new ones from their upcoming album Pantheon. The crowd was fully locked in, singing, moshing, and dancing the whole time. Tilian Pearson and Andrew Wells were on vocals, and Will Swan’s guitar playing was as sharp as ever. Everyone on stage gave it their all, and the fans gave that energy right back.

Dance Gavin Dance made their Riverside stop one to remember. With loud music, a packed set list and a crowd that didn’t stop moving, the night showed just how strong their fanbase is!
