The Buddy System held a Comedy Night at Back to the Grind coffee house in Downtown Riverside on Saturday January 27, 2024 where comedians signed up for a open mic to try out new and used material to a welcome crowd that brought the laughter.

Local comedians like Carlos Patino, Nick Lanny, Melissa Nehme, and others achieved various degrees of success with their material, and topics ranged from girlfriend troubles, eating dead people for the THC high, failing at life in general, and accidentally getting aroused by a dude's foot on Instagram.
The Buddy System is comedy group that supports local comedians and arranges open mic nights throughout the week all over the Inland Empire and puts on actual shows in local venues around the area, and can be found pretty regularly at Back to the Grind, The W, Brooks Bar, and other local venues.
Comedy is comedy, so check your sensitivities at the door, remember to support the venue hosting the night, and get ready to laugh, groan, and wince as comedians take the stage to soar to the stars, or crash and burn.
