SUNAMI descended upon the Riverside Municipal Auditorium, and brought 6 other bands with them for a night of hardcore music, moshing, and crowd surfing in Riverside on Nov 9. Support bands included Twitching Tongues, Killing Time, Ingrown, Torena, AWOL, and Cosmic Joke.

First up for the night was Cosmic Joke who opened up the show with Hedonic Treadmill, followed by AWOL, and they definitely got the party started, for a crowd that was ready to mosh, and surf their way up to the stage.

Next on board was Torena, an Oxnard based hardcore band formed in 2020, playing such hits like Fueled by Rage, Stand Your Ground, and No Control, and the crowd ate it up, getting more and more hyped for the next band. Each of the support bands had 20 minutes to strut their stuff.

Ingrown took the stage next and played through their set finishing off with Cold Steel and Hard Time, and the crowd showed no signs of slowing down with a massive mosh pit forming in the center of the Auditorium and people flying over the stage rails left and right as they were surfed up to the stage.

Killing Time took the stage next, and throughout their performance showed the kids how they do hardcore in NY. Front man and vocalist, Anthony Comunale, disappeared mid-song only to reappear in the photo pit to climb up on the rails and mix in with the crowd, while eager fans were surfed up to him to try for a chance to sing along with him in the mic. One unlucky crowd surfer took a tumble over the rails, but got a hug from Comunale who made sure he was OK before continuing on.

Twitching Tongues, a Los Angeles based hardcore band formed in 2009, had similar ideas as front man and vocalist, Colin Young, jumped off the stage and and dove into the crowd as well, letting them swarm around him and sing along to their favorite song.

Finally the moment came for SUNAMI to break through and take the stage, and the crowd formed into not one, not two, but three separate mosh pits all going crazy with energy.

SUNAMI started off their set with Step Up and Y.S.A.B. and the crowd ate up each song they threw out to them. Overall it was a crazy and frenetic night with the crowd bringing a seemingly unending amount of energy for all the bands that showed up, and the party seemed like it would go on all night.
